Questions
About the audit
What does the audit actually check?
Whether an AI shopping assistant can read your catalogue, find price, stock and identifiers on each product page, get past your robots.txt, find and read your shipping and returns policies, load the store quickly, and find you when asked for what you sell. Six sections, a score out of 100, and a ranked fix list. The full list.
Do I need to give you access to my store?
No. The audit reads your public store, which is what a shopper's assistant reads. No Shopify login, no collaborator request, no app to install.
Does anything on my store get changed?
No. The audit reads. It never writes. The fixes are written for you or your theme developer to make in Shopify admin.
Is a person involved?
No. The system reads the store, scores it, writes the report and checks it against the data before it ships. That is why it costs £99 and arrives within 24 hours. The method was designed and signed off by a person; the running of it is not.
How is it scored?
Mechanically. The same store on the same day gets the same score. Six sections with fixed points: catalogue readability 25, structured data 25, agent access 15, trust and policy 15, speed 10, visibility spot check 10.
What if something cannot be measured?
The report says "not measured", excludes those points from the total and tells you it did so. It does not score them zero and it does not guess.
How reliable is the visibility spot check?
It is eight buyer-style searches run on one day. It tells you whether the store turned up and who turned up instead. It is dated, weighted at 10 points of 100 and called a spot check throughout. It is not a measurement of your share of AI search.
Will the audit get my store recommended by ChatGPT?
It tells you what is stopping an assistant from reading, trusting and reaching your store, and how to fix it. What an assistant recommends is up to the assistant. No audit can promise a recommendation and this one does not.
Ordering
What does it cost?
£99 for one store. VAT is added at checkout where it applies. There is no subscription and nothing to cancel.
What do I need to order?
Your store URL and an email address. That is all.
My store is not on Shopify.
The audit covers Shopify today. WooCommerce is next. The free check will tell you if your store cannot be run, before you pay.
The free check says my store cannot be read. Why?
Usually one of three things: bot protection in front of the store, a robots.txt that asks crawlers to stay out, or a catalogue that is not public. The check says which. If your robots.txt is the reason, allow BluntFindingsBot on /products/ and /products.json and run the check again. About the crawler.
Can I audit more than one store?
Yes. One order per store. Each store needs its own URL and its own order.
Do I get an invoice?
Your receipt comes from Stripe, who handle payment and tax. It arrives by email after you pay.
Delivery
How long does it take?
Within 24 hours of payment. Most reports arrive sooner.
What do I receive?
An email with the PDF attached and a link to a private web page carrying the same report. The page link lasts 30 days. The PDF is yours to keep.
Can I share the report?
Yes. Send the PDF to whoever does your theme work. The private link is for you and expires after 30 days, so use the PDF for anything that needs to last.
What happens to my report afterwards?
Thirty days after delivery, the report page and every file behind it are deleted. Nothing from your store is kept, benchmarked, or used for anything except your report. Privacy.
Refunds
Can I get a refund?
Yes. Ask within 14 days of purchase and the order is refunded in full, no reason needed. If the audit cannot run on your store, it is refunded automatically. Refund policy.
The audit ran but I think a finding is wrong.
Email hello@bluntfindings.com and say which one. It gets looked at properly, against the data the report was built from.
Support
I have a question about a finding.
Email hello@bluntfindings.com with your order number. Questions are answered from the report's own data.
Can you make the changes for me?
No. Blunt Findings sells the report, not the work. The fix list is written so that whoever looks after your theme can make the changes from it.
Can we have a call?
No. There is nobody to have it with, which is how the price stays at £99.
